Genuine Leather
Aniline Leathers - Raven, Coffee, Cafe, Cedar, Hermitage, Maple,
Bronze and Pewter.
Aniline leather is basically aniline dyed leather without
any pigment applied to the surface. When selecting an album made
from aniline leathers, be aware that natural scarring is far more
prevalent. Particularly on large albums, it is almost impossible for
the album to be completely free of some sort of scarring.
Corrected
Grain Leathers - Black, Ivory, Navy, Dark Grey, Chocolate, Port,
terracotta, Teak, Capsicum and Chilli.
Corrected grain leather generally has a full pigment finish applied
to the corrected and embossed surface. Correct grain leathers also
have minimal surface marking and scarring and as a result, these
leathers should be chosen if you would like the album surface to
have a uniform appearance.

Outback
Leather Top grain, dyed, embossed leather.
Still the best option for those who insist on the best in appearance
and durability. This leather is a full grain
leather which has been buffed to produce a soft nap surface. It is
very soft and more likely to soil that the full or corrected grain
leathers. It is also a natural characteristic of this type of
leather for the colour to vary slightly from hide to hide.
It should be noted that animals are subject to wounds, tears and
scars, as well as insect bites which will leave their mark. Since
the injuries heal quickly, they do not affect the leather's
durability or longevity in any way

Metals
and Timber
NEW Baroque
Inlay, Brushed or
Corrugated Metal Panels - the NEW Baroque metal inlay
is designed to sit flush on the album cover so to achieve this we
countersink the metal portion. The spine and back are bound with
leatherette. A metal panel sits on top of cover material and
features leatherette binding on the spine and cover. Available plain or with a 3½" x 2½" vertical opening.
Etching is also available in Garamond font in black or silver. Durability is good although the brushed metal can scratch quite
easily and should be handled with care.
Apollo Metal albums - have a semi glazed surface that
has a coarse finish and is popular with client's requiring a metal
album that is both durable and scratch resistant. Available plain or
with a 3½" x 2½" vertical opening. Etching is also
available in Garamond font in black or silver. Durability: excellent.
Aluminium Albums - are made with a solid aluminium
front and back cover and are bound at the spine with black leather.
You can choose an alternate colour leather although this must be
specified when ordering. Available plain or with a 3½" x 2½"
vertical opening. Etching is also available in Garamond font in
black or silver. Durability: excellent although the album must be
handled with care to avoid scratching the aluminium surfaces. The
rear of the album features 4 soft feet to assist with the
preservation of the back surface of the album, once placed onto hard
surfaces.
Timber - Contemporary in design, our natural and
Jarrah timber covers are bound at the spine with black leather. |
