The Digital Magazine album uses NO MATS and your prints run right to the edge.

Here are some tips to ensure your Magazine style Album is made the way you expect when it was designed. Each album is hand crafted and whilst we make every attempt to get it right, this is not an exact science and we do need some tolerances to work within.

1. Trimming
All prints for an Magazine Album may be trimmed up to 3mm (1/8") on all 4 edges. This is how we achieve the flush edge look. Keep this in mind when designing your page layout, so that vital or important details are not lost from the edge.

2. Key Lines
Although a nice feature, when placed too close to the edge of the page, it is almost impossible to keep them square on the page, or align them across 2 pages. Please ensure key lines are kept a minimum of 10mm in from the edge.

3. Borders
If you have created a page with a border, like key lines, keep them a minimum of 10mm wide.

4. Trim Marks
With some designs where there is a lot of white background, it is difficult to tell where the page begins and ends. It is important that you include trim marks, either in China Graph pencil in each corner of the print OR as a 2 pixel stroke line just outside the area to be trimmed.

5. Page Layout
Please send a printed page layout so we know where each print goes in the album. Marking the back of prints is not a good idea and in some instances, the numbers show through. Designer Folders accepts no responsibility for pages placed out of order if no layout is provided.

The Digital magazine style album is available in either a vertical or horizontal format. Simply send us your photos, either with an album plan or numbered in sequence and we will surface mount all photos using acid free adhesive onto our extra thick pages then trim the 3 outside edges (which you must allow 3-5mm of trim for), then the album is despatched to you as a finished product ready for your client to collect. When ordering one of these albums, you will find a checklist on the order form above, that will ensure we have everything we need. The matching Junior or Mini Digital albums are a great idea for parent albums. All Junior or Mini Digital albums must be manufactured at the same time as the large Storybook. All albums are supplied with a black fully lined presentation box.

Mat Options:
There are no mats used in this album as the prints run right to the edge of the page. If you need a matted digital album select Digital Matted album or 17x12 Bookbound album.

  • The most popular sizes are 11X14” or 10x14” in a vertical format album

  • Junior and Mini Digital Albums are also available

  • Album is supplied fully assembled with all photos mounted using acid free adhesive

  • Albums are unpadded to keep with the contemporary theme of a modern, classic presentation

  • Special size albums are available upon request

  • Maximum number of leaves 25 = 60 pages
