Here are some tips to ensure your Flush Mount style Album is made the
way you expect when it was designed. Each album is hand crafted and
whilst we make every attempt to get it right, this is not an exact
science and we do need some tolerances to work within. |

1.
Trimming
All prints for an Flush Mount Album must be supplied the same (
finished size ) to avoid a trimming fee of $50. After we mount the
images we may trim up to 3mm on
the 3 outer edges. This is how we achieve the flush edge look. Keep this
in mind when designing your page layout, so that vital or important
details are not lost from the edges. |

2. Key
Lines
Although a nice feature, when placed too close to the edge of the
page, it is almost impossible to keep them square on the page, or
align them across 2 pages. Please ensure key lines are kept a
minimum of 10mm in from the edge. |

|
3.
Borders
The image above, once in the album and trimmed, will end up with
uneven spaces from the edge of the page to the borders/keylines.
If you have created a page with a border/key lines, keep them
a minimum of 10mm in from the outside edge of the image, keeping in
mind that we are trimming 3 of the edges ( as depicted in
illustration 1 above). |

4.
Trim Marks
With some designs where there is a lot of white background, it is
difficult to tell where the page begins and ends. It is important
that you include trim marks, either in China Graph pencil in each
corner of the print OR as a 2 pixel stroke line just outside the
area to be trimmed. |

5.
Page Layout - Thumbnails
Please send a printed page layout of thumbnails, so we know where each print goes
in the album. Marking the back of prints is not a good idea and in
some instances, the numbers show through. Designer Folders accepts
no responsibility for pages placed out of order if no layout is
provided.
For clients using PhotoJunction album planning software, this can be
easily done via Reports> Album Proof. |
