Album Mat Options

Designer Folders provides you with options for your mat combinations. You can either download the Mat Combinations for the appropriate album from the INFORMATION SECTION and insert these codes into the appropriate Album Order form and forward back to us OR alternatively, you can design your album and mats using Photojunction™ software, which is now FREE. Photojunction™ Photojunction™ is by far our most popular method of ordering albums and mats. Photojunction™ is linked with our computerised mat cutting machines ensuring every mat designed will be cut exactly as you have requested. Photojunction™ has our standard range of templates already included in the software plus you have the option of creating your own set of templates or custom designing each individual page. Remember all orders sent via email from Photojunction™ do not get charged for Custom Cut Mats. That’s right - all Custom Cut Mats are free! |

Standard Mats
Each Bookbound Art Album collection contains a range of standard mats. To view the list of Mat Combinations Pdf, please refer to"MAT COMBINATIONS" in the main INFORMATION section of our web site. For the Square Albums (16”, 13” and 9”) you may rotate these mats four ways. When ordering these, if you want the mat placed other than shown, simply insert the normal Mat Code into the large boxes on the Album Order Form PLUS write “TURN” next to it to indicate you would like the mat turned, then draw the configuration you want. With the 17x12" Panoramic, 17x12" Vertical, 14x11" Landscape PJ and 14x11" Photojournal mats, these can be rotated twice to offer the Reverse combination, but not flipped. When ordering, if you want the mat placed other than shown, simply write the code with an “R” next to it to indicate you would like the mat reversed and draw the configuration you want.PLEASE NOTE: in the case of 9x9 and 12x12 Gallery albums, we DO NOT OFFER Double, Two Tone OR Thick Bevel Mats. These albums are ONLY made to take SINGLE or BEVEL Mats. |

Personal Studio Library Due to the individuality of each studio you can also design your own range of mats to suit your style of photography. Each studio is allowed up to 20 personalised mats. Simply fax or email your required list to us by drawing the required combinations and sizes and we will let you know your personal studio codes for future orders. |

Custom Cut Mats If you would like a mat that is neither a standard mat nor part of your Personal Studio Library you may order a one off Custom Cut Mat. On your order form simply draw the combination required together with the image sizes and we will cut this to your specifications. This allows you total freedom in designing your album and makes every album unique. There is a surcharge for Custom Cut Mats. Although not expensive, it may add up if you have multiple custom mats in one album. |

Single Mats This is the traditional style mat most often supplied with wedding albums. Our single mats have a very modern look due to the 420gsm cotton based fibre board and has a contemporary finish that is very popular. The Single Mats are available in either black or white |

Bevel Mats Our incredibly popular Bevel Mats have rapidly become one of our best selling mats. These mats are available in either black or white. Each mat is cut with a bevel edge revealing the opposite colour core on the bevel and are made from a durable 460gsm stock. The black bevel mat has a white core and a white bevel mat has a black core. You can also order our Single Mats with a bevel cut. This cotton based fibre reveals a white board and white core or black board and black core. |

Thick Bevel Mats Our Thick Bevel Mats are made from high quality mountboard most often used in the framing industry. Ideal for those clients requesting an album with a small number of leaves who require a different look. These mats are available in black/black core, black/white core, white/white core and white/black core. Please note the maximum number of leaves using thick bevel mats is 15 (30 sides). Not available on Slimline Landscape, Slimline Vertical Albums or Separate Base and Mat Albums. |

Double Mats Double matting consists of two mats adhered together to form one. Used frequently in framing we have found this a popular alternative to the normal single mats and a great way to “upsell” an album. The inner and outer mats are the same colour although a 5-7 mm border separates the two. Available in white and black double mats. Not available on Slimline Landscape, Slimline Vertical or Gallery Albums. |

Two Tone Mats Like the Double Mat the Two Tone Mats are two separate mats adhered together to form one mat. The difference here is the mats are alternate colours. Meaning the inside mat is one colour showing a small border (3mm) whilst the outside mat is a different colour. Available in black outer/white inner and white outer/black inner. Not available on Slimline Landscape and Slimline Vertical Albums. |
